Community. Appreciation. Respect. Empathy. Service.

cares for website

We believe in staying connected to our community and giving back in a variety of different ways. Our firm-wide initiative to show that W3 CARES has been a rewarding and humbling experience that we feel has strengthened our company culture just as much as it has benefited our communities. Below are just a few examples of how our offices give back throughout the year.

Christopher T. Garvin Community Service Award

Chris Garvin_compressed

In honor of our late colleague Chris Garvin this award is given annually to a client who embodies the spirit of giving back to the community.

Chris wore his passions on his sleeve and no matter what he did he  approached it with vigor and enthusiasm. His passion to be involved with others and to help in any way he could was at the center of his being. Whether it was coaching his daughters or supporting various organizations, he  instilled competitiveness and a desire to succeed, but also a willingness to be a part of something within the community. It was this feeling that truly resonated with everyone he touched and what drew us to him as a business partner.

This award will be given annually to a client that has shown this same passion in helping make our community better. With the annual honoree’s guidance, W3 donates $1,000 to a community organization.

Akron Community Service Day

Our Akron office spent the day volunteering at the Akron-Canton Food Bank. We were able to send two volunteer groups in the morning and afternoon. While we were there our groups learned about the amazing work they do to provide meals to families in need.

The Akron-Canton Food Bank strives to provide emergency food to those in need within our community. Their hunger relief programs reach eight Northeast Ohio counties, Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne. Their goal is to advocate, engage and collaborate with their communities to end hunger.

While working in the warehouse, our W3 Team assisted with dry goods inspection, inspected bags to be sent out for distribution and relabeled cereal boxes. Together we helped provide 2,238 meals to our neighbors in need!
